Summer has come to an end but are little family was busy the entire time! Updating our little blog seems to always fall to the bottom of my list of things to do. We've kept busy this summer with County Fairs, water activities, birthday parties and special weekend outings to see someone's favorite character.

At the beginning of August we had our annual family picnic. It was great to see everyone again since we missed out on the fun last year. Lucas especially loved it because he was able to just run and run and run. We also had the opportunity to celebrate a very special little girls 1st birthday. I can't believe Avery is already 1!!!

The second week at the month I worked with my company at the Boone County Fair. It was our second year there and we had a great turn out. Lucas, Ralph and my parents made a trip up too. Lucas was big enough this year to actually ride the kids rides. He LOVED all of them!!! Then again, anything with a train he loves!

We've tried to spend as much time outdoors as we can because before long we'll be stuck in doors. A few weeks ago we surprised Lucas with A Day with Thomas the Train. It was amazing!!! The museum really knew how to touch on the innocense of children. Lucas couldn't believe that Thomas was really there and that he got to go for a ride on him! They had a ton of stuff for the kids to do. Coloring pages, the toy trains set up for them to play with, tattoos, movies, songs and, of course, the gift tent. Grandma went crazy in there! I hope Lucas is still into Thomas next year because I would love to do it again.

I know my face is covered but my boys look pretty cute.

I personally had a great September! I took a promotion at work and am finally working full time with all the perks that go along with that status. I've switched to a branch in the suburbs and LOVE IT!!! The best part is that it's only Monday through Friday so I'm home with Lucas and Ralph on weekends. This also allows me to make a quick trip to Bloomington to visit with the Glacinski clan!

My Mom turned 60 in September and we weren't about to let it go by unnoticed. My sisters and I had been planning a weekend getaway for her for quite a while. My Dad, of course, was in on it as well. I think she thought we didn't plan anything because when Nikki dropped in on a Saturday morning to pick her up, she was shocked. We "kidnapped" her and spent the entire weekend in Lake Geneva. We shopped and shopped and shopped. It was really nice to just get away for a weekend as Mother and Daughters.

Speaking of the Glacinski's, we were there this past weekend for their annual pumpkin carving contest. It was a lot of fun and our pumpkin didn't get kicked off the deck.

In case you haven't realized, this post has covered summer to the present day. I keep trying to tell myself to get this blog updated and out to family and friends. Unfortunately its never that easy. With the new job I'm getting home later because I commute and I'm in a management position so when I do walk in the door my attention is on my boys. Enjoy the photos from the past few months. With the holidays creeping up on us I don't know how quick I'll be to update, but I'll do my best.

All our love!!!
