Summer, Summer, Summer Time

I am truly blessed to have Ralph as my husband. He will do whatever it takes to take care of our little family....even work 2 jobs sometimes as much as 80hrs a week!!!! Since he's been working so hard for the last 3 months I wanted to do something special for him. I planned an afternoon date for just him and I. It gave us a chance to get out and enjoy eachother's company. We even got to have a full conversation that didn't revolve around the Disney Channel or dinosaurs or trains. We love our little man so much but this was a much needed afternoon for Mommy and Daddy. I took Ralph to Two Brothers Brewery in Warrenville, Il for an on site brewery tour and a little tasting. I knew this would be a great way for Ralph to just relax and not think about either of his jobs. Its not that often that we get a full 3 days with him in a row! We ended our evening at Uncle Skips and Aunt Les' home for the annual 4th of July party. Usually this is held on July 4th but it was on a Wednesday and Roselle scratched their fireworks show. Even tho we got together on a different day we still had a great time! It was also nice to get back to our little man!!!

On Sunday we met the Glacinski's and Ashley at Brookfield Zoo. The last time I was there I was only 4 months pregnant. It was a beautiful day in Chicago!!! We took in almost all the animal exhibits and even went to see the dolphin show. Lucas was really excited about this since we just watched the movie "Dolphin Tale". The show didn't disappoint and both kiddos were clapping and smiling the entire show. Lucas and Avery were so well behaved the entire day, but then again when they are together they are always well behaved. They just love eachother so much and I'm so happy that even tho there is some distance between them that it doesn't change their relationship.
