I recently realized that I'm not the best at updating our blog. I just never feel like I have an hour to dedicate to this. So for that, I'm sorry! Here's an update on our family in the last 2 MONTHS!!!
Most of April was spent getting ready for Easter. Lucas LOVED Easter this year. He definitely got the idea of finding the Easter eggs that the Easter Bunny left for him. Auntie Ashley (aka The Easter Bunny) hid the eggs in all the little nooks at my parents house. After the hunt Lucas was given 4 Easter baskets. 1 from Grandma and Papa, 1 from Auntie Ashley and Uncle Patrick and 1 from Aunt Nik and Uncle Dave. They were filled with candy, eggs, books, cars, clothes, sunglasses and of course Bunny Ears! We celebrated with the Carrion family this year at the Billings home. The food and company were both amazing!

May was CRAZY!!!! We started the month out in Bloomington for Mother's Day. It was nice to be able to spend Nikki's first Mother's Day with her. For the first 3 weeks of the month I was working at a different branch. My company merged with a Credit Union in Elgin and they asked me to help with the training of the "new" employees. It was a long 3 weeks but I really enjoyed the opportunity and the experience. Ralph was also busy during the month of May. He was asked to work the Restaurant and Hotel show that is held every year at the McCormack Center in Chicago. He went as an Executive Chef for Greenridge Farms. He said that the contacts and the experience were worth the long hours! Ralph hopes he will get the opportunity to go again next year. I also celebrated my 28th birthday on the 5th of May. WOW!!! Am I really pushing 30???
(Sorry, no pictures from May. Apparently my camera ran away from me)
June's looking to be pretty busy for us. The first weekend of the month I had planned on potty training Lucas. Needless to say it didn't work. I think I might have been a little quick to try. He will talk about the potty and want to wear big boy pants but when it comes to actually going to the bathroom he gets scared and starts to scream and cry. So we will be trying again in about a month. We continue to talk to him about the potty and how diapers are for babies. I'm sure he will be using the big boy potty soon but I don't want to push him into it and then have him terrified of the potty. We celebrated Father's Day the weekend before Father's Day with the entire family. The weekend of Father's Day we will be heading up to Wisconsin to celebrate my cousin Nathan's High School Graduation. Then Lucas and I are heading to Bloomington for a Mommy and Me photo session with Nikki's photographer. This was my Mother's Day gift from her. I'm hoping to keep our little family of 3 busy for the summer. Pool, park, mini vacations, etc. I am going to try to get our blog updated on a monthly basis from now on!!!
I just love this little girl!
