No joke ladies and gents!!! I went to the doctor yesterday and got some crazy news. I went in for my normal third trimester ultra sound thinking everything was going to be normal. They checked to make sure all the organs are functioning properly and got the current weight of the baby. That's when they dropped the ball. Lucas is currently 6lbs right now and according to the technician that would put his due date at 12/25/2008. A whole month early?!?!?! Are they trying to cause me to have a nervous breakdown? So of course I start to panic and think of all the things that still need to be done before Lucas makes his debut, early or not. I have to finish purchasing the furniture, get the nursery organized, pack my bags for the hospital, go see the labor and delivery floor at the hospital...and the list goes on. I was freaking out thinking about how close 01/21/2009 was arriving and to think that in three weeks he could be here is a little scary.
After my u/s I went in to see my dr for my 32 week appt. I asked her what the chances are of Lucas coming early and she said that its 50/50. There is no definite answer that she could give me for that...thanks! Her recommendations were another gestational diabetes test this Friday to make sure that it hasn't snuck up on me in the last trimester. She is concerned that at the rate the baby is gaining I could deliver a 10lb baby in January. Like I told her...that won't happen! Instead of them maybe getting my due date wrong they have once again made me feel like I've done something wrong. Damn doctors! They sure no how to make you feel a little more at ease. Oh well. All I can do now is wait for his arrival, early or not. Wish me luck!!!

WOW Robyn what news to get at a regular checkup. I would be freakin to but he will come when he is ready and if he is getting to big I am sure they will do something about it. Thinking about you! :)
