With winter being so mild this year we felt as if Spring came super early! A lot is going on with our little family of 3. In March, Ralph and I moved from Belvidere, IL back to the "burbs" in Bloomingdale, IL. The decision was pretty easy for us. Both of us work in the suburbs and with the cost of gas we were spending way too much each month. It was also a bit of a strain on Lucas. There wasn't much consistantcy in our week and it was taking its toll on our little man. We are so thankful that my Mom and Dad were generous enough to let us crash a few nights a week to eliminate a lot of the driving back and forth. We've been in our new place for just under a month now and it's really working out great. We are home every night and eating dinner at a normal time. Lucas is much happier now that he's home every night and gets to sleep in his own bed. He has adjusted well to the move so I'm now hoping he will get on board with this potty training nonsense! When we moved in March I assumed cold, rainy and possible snow but nope, we had 80 degree weather and sunny. It was so warm we actually turned on our A/C!!! I couldn't believe it but being on the third floor it was necessary. The apartment is smaller than we're used to but it works well for us. Everything from the house fits (except for a few white tail mounts) and it feels like home!
