Just a Little Note.

I took Lucas in last week for his 15mth check up. (WOW, 15 months!) The doctor was again pleased with his development. Lucas has finally leveled out on the growth charts. He weighs 33lbs 7oz. Only 2lb 2oz gain from his 12 month check up. Usually the charts show where the average child is and Lucas is WAY above. Not this time. He's only slightly higher. His height is 34.5". SERIOUSLY!!!! My child is just under 3ft tall. YIKES!

He is really starting to grow into his own little person. I spend 90% of my day laughing at him or playing with him or just getting him to smile, which isn't that hard. He is walking/running everywhere, grabbing EVERYTHING and wants to do everything himself. You can't hold him (unless he's tired) or feed him. You can't show him how anything works. Lucas loves building with his blocks and then knocking them over. His vocabulary is incredible. Lucas can clearly say the following and he knows who or what they are:

*Mama, Mommy, Mom
*Dada, Dad
*PaPa (Grandpa)
*Auntie Ash
*Nik
*Bottle
*Puppy
*Happy
*Zeus (Our puppy's name)
*Yes
*No (his favorite lately)
*Why (another favorite)
*Mine
*Ball
*Kitty Kitty

I'm sure there are even more but those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. It is so amazing to watch him grow up. Even if it does make me sad at times.

We bring home our puppy on June 12th. Prior to that Ashley, my Mom and I are preparing for Nikki's baby shower on June 6th. I can't believe how fast it is approaching. I'll be rocking a new born baby girl in my arms before I know it. Can't wait for my little niece to be born!

Ralph's new job is awesome. He loves being out on a golf course taking care of the greens. He's up and out of the house by 5:45am and home by 2pm. Mom is still babysitting for us and I swear she enjoys this more than her full time job. But then again, who wouldn't?

Here are a few new pictures.

I swear the car was in park...We were waiting for the rain to let up!

Fun, Fun, Fun!

A lot has been going on at the Antfellner residence. A few weeks ago our family celebrated our Grandmother's 90th birthday!!! What a huge milestone that was! Grandma was so excited to see all her family at the party. There were even a few surprises. She looks INCREDIBLE and we just love her dearly!

We also celebrated our nieces 1st communion. It was nice to see the Antfellner family since we haven't seen much of them this year.

Last week Lucas and I went on a date. We had a picnic lunch in the park, went for a super long walk and then played our little hearts out at the park. He's really starting to enjoy discovering things on his own now. He's so independent now and never sits still. Not only is he walking but he's running and climbing, will only eat if he can feed himself (needless to say meal times are pretty messy) and is definitely in a tantrum stage. If something doesn't go his way he will make this face like he's going to cry but then just whines. It's actually pretty humorous. Definitely ready for hollywood. We have also experienced our first taste of sibling rivalry. (No I'm not pregnant) We have decided to get a puppy and Lucas is not a fan of Mommy holding or touching are looking at them. If we are with the puppy he instantly clings to Mommy and just glares at the dogs. I guess it was going to happen whether it was a human sibling or dog sibling. Here are some photos of our day at the park and the puppies...
