As 2009 Comes to a Close...

As new parents Ralph and I were really excited about hosting Christmas Day and having our family with us when Lucas opened his presents. My dream was not a reality. Lucas was sick all Christmas Eve and day. Poor little guy wanted nothing to do with anything or anyone. I have a few photos but not many good ones. Sick or not we made the best of the day.

In his Christmas jammies on Christmas morning

Bows and tissue paper were a hit at GiGi Johnson's.

Toy from Aunt Ashley...he does like it...just not on Christmas day.

Needless to say 2009 was an incredible year! I am so thankful for all my blessings this year. Happy New Year to all my family and friends. I wish you all happiness in the coming year. Bring on the new decade...2010 HERE WE COME!!!!

Turkey, Stuffing & Cranberries Oh My!

Thanksgiving has come and gone and HOLLY COW!!!! Christmas is less than a month away! WOW! This year flew by. I can't believe how much has changed in such a quick 12 months. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with the Johnson clan. Judy hosted and cooked and incredible meal. We all ate way too much and paid for it the next day. Everything was delicious! I was truly thankful to be with Judy this holiday. For those who don't know, my Aunt Judy had a double lung transplant last year on Dec. 3rd. It was really touch and go up until the last minute and then the miracle happened. Judy is recovering beautifully and if you didn't know her situation you probably wouldn't even know what she went through.

Not too much happened for us as a family the month on November. Pretty much the same old same. Visits to Aunt Nik and Uncle Dave's, Grandma and Grandpa's, etc. Lucas now has 8 teeth and uses them daily. Eating different foods, chewing on tables (seriously, you would think he's a dog) :) The only big event that happened in November was not a good event. Lucas got his first black eye and fat lip. He was pulling himself up on Grandma's end table and slipped. The lip was much worse looking than the eye. His mouth bled pretty badly but by the next morning he was like a brand new kid.

Here are some recent pictures of Lucas and our family.
