My Baby Shower and Ralph's "Baby"

My sister's threw me a fabulous baby shower this past weekend! I can't thank everyone enough for the thoughtful gifts and for celebrating that day with me. We received a lot of nice gifts that I'm sure, one way or another, I will learn to use. Here is the awesome stroller that Auntie Ashley bought for us...We put it together this weekend while she was out.

Along with the nice gifts were some fun little activities that Aunt Nikki put together. The object of the activity was to compose a picture of what Baby Antfellner would look like based off of what Ralph and I look like. Each table was given a few baby magazines and a sheet of paper to make their baby. Here are some of them...

You can only imagine my surpirse as each table created and named the babys. After the activity I let everyone know that we have chosen a name for our baby.....Drum Roll Please.........................

Lucas Raymond Antfellner

We do appreciate everyone's help in chosing between Jonathan and Josef but I just wasn't loving them anymore.

Along with the baby shower this weekend Ralph was up in Wisconsin for opening hunting season...here is his pride and joy.....

Is this what my future is to be??? Two hunters???

I have my 33 week appt. on December 1st and I'm really looking forward to that one. We will have our last u/s and get to see how big little Lucas really is.

Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving!!!

30 Weeks and 10 More to Go!

Is it over yet?!?!?! I'm hitting the stage of being done with the pregnancy. The baby moves all the time, which is a good thing but not when you are trying to sleep. I went in on Monday for this months doctors appt. The baby is doing well, I'm doing well and I didn't gain any weight!!! Take that evil doctor! We had our nursery painted this past weekend by my aunt and uncle (Thanks guys!!!) It is really making me want to paint the rest of the house now. That unfortunately will have to wait until a later date. I will post pictures once it looks a little more put together. The crib has been ordered by Grandma and Grandpa Carrion and we are just waiting for the arrival of that. The rest of the furniture will be purchased little by little so by January it will all be complete.

Sleeping through the night is officially a thing of the past now. I can't get comfortable anymore and I've given up on trying to sleep on my stomach. It just won't work! Then switching sides in the middle of the night is even more annoying. I've noticed lately a horrible pain in my hips if I sleep too long on one side or the other. Poor Ralph is really taking a beating at night with all my restlessness and tossing and turning.

The baby is sitting either really low and pushing on my bladder and making the trips to the bathroom much more frequent or he sits in my rib cage on my right side and makes it very hard to breathe. My doctor says that this is normal and to just try to take it easy. Limit the walking up and down stairs and try to relax. If one more person tells me to relax I just might lose it! That has been the hardest thing for me to do since finding out I was pregnant! Only two more months to go. Thankfully the holidays are right around the corner and 2009 will be here before I know it.
